Avocado Lake Park to close temporarily for trimming and removal of hazardous trees

UPDATE: Avocado Lake Park has reopened as of March 23, 2018

Avocado Lake Park in Sanger will be closed to the public starting Monday, October 23, 2017, as the Fresno County Department of Public Works moves to trim and remove more than 800 hazardous trees.

A public notice announcing the closure has been posted at the park entrance. The dates of closure are subject to change.

The work is part of the County’s ongoing efforts to ensure public safety and addresses high tree mortality resulting from the extended period of severe drought.
